WHC

The Malt Miller stocks a huge range of dry and liquid yeast shipped from numerous labs around the world on a regular basis ensuring the freshest product possible. All liquid yeast is shipped including an ice pack to help keep it cool during transit, and as it is a time sensitive product some shipping options may be excluded.

Orders placed after Thursday 12noon are dispatched on a Friday, so will sit in the courier network over a weekend. Our warehouse team will hold an order only if you add instructions to do so.

    Thought to originate from the famous Scottish brewer, the Scottish Ale strain is a flocculent, versatile, reliable house strain that produces neutral to complex and malty profiles in its fairly wide temperature range. Hop character is not muted by this strain. Bring out more esters in higher fermentation temperatures. It flocculates better than West Coast Ale I (OYL-004).

    The mildest on the Brettanomyces funkiness spectrum, Brettanomyces claussenii presents more of a leathery earthiness and some pineapple—both characteristics that are contributed in large part by the aroma alone.
