A great way to knock out clean-tasting, mixed culture beer quickly without kettle souring!

Produce traditional-tasting German Goses, or get rid of the fuss of making fruited or milkshake sours by dropping the kettle sour process entirely.

To make a tart beer use less than 5 IBUs, or skip the hops entirely for a punchy but refreshing amount of acidity (3.2-3.5pH). Fermenting at the cooler end of this culture’s temperature range will slow down or reduce beer acidity level.

  • Type: Yeast & Lactic Acid Bacteria blend. Saccharomyces, and Lactobacillus cultures.
  • Pitching Rate: Directly pitchable into 5 gallons of 1.050 or lower wort
  • Estimated Attenuation: 82%-88%
  • Estimated Final pH: 3.2-3.6 (if unhopped)
  • Flavor/Aroma Profile: Clean and neutral tasting beer with a lactic acid/lemon/yogurt tang
  • Flocculation: Low to medium; Higher with prolonged aging
  • Recommended Fermentation Temperature: 60F-70F (16C-21C) – Cooler temps will reduce or slow down acid production
