The Malt Miller Brew Day in a box recipe kits have been developed to make brewing with the very best ingredients as easy as possible. Each kit contains all the ingredients required, crushed malt, hops, style specific yeast and priming sugar. Plus, kettle finings, yeast nutrient and where applicable vegan finings. Full instructions for brewing beer from grain as well as a recipe specific brew sheet.

A new twist on one of our most popular kits. Ultra Thick – Juicy – Hazy, bursting with bold tropical fruit notes & white grape – delivering abundant notes of passion fruit, gooseberry & lychee. Crafted with 20% oats and 20% wheat in the grist, its velvety mouthfeel is perfectly complemented by a delicate, soft malt backbone from a low-colour base malt. Plus, this version includes the new Haze Heaven yeast from WHC!

Hop / kettle additions and timing:

Galaxy T90 Pellets 5g @ 60min

ProMix @ 15 min

Hop Stand / Whirlpool at 80c

Nelson Sauvin T90 Pellets – 30g

Galaxy T90 Pellets – 25g

Yeast: WHC Haze Heaven Yeast x 1 11g Packet

Fermentation temperature/steps:

 19c 7 – 10 days primary fermentation – increase to 22c for 48 hours after final gravity is achieved for a Diac rest

Soft crash to 14c, dump yeast from FV if possible and then add dry hop additions.

Nelson Sauvin T90 Hop Pellets – 70g

If you can, rousing hops if you can at least twice during this contact time will increase the effectiveness of the dry hop addition.

Reduce to 4c for 2-3 days cold crash before packaging.

If you can, before packaging and during cold crash – dump hops from the FV once or twice.

Carbonate to apx 2.4vol CO2 via forced carbonation if adding to a keg or with the 200g bag of dextrose to bottle condition – check out our priming calculator for exact amounts of sugar to add

Comments:

Water will make a big difference to this recipe, so if you are adept in this area plan for a 2:1 ratio of chloride to sulphate in your water calculations. If you are not using RO water then please make sure you remove chlorine from your source water or using bottled water such as Tesco Ashbeck.
