TALUS™, previously HBC 692, now one of the biggest flavour impact hops BarthHaas™ have in their portfolio, pound for pound. Formerly introduced in 2020 by Yakima Chief Hops, Talus Hop Pellets represents a fresh and exciting addition to the world of hops.
CHARACTERISTICS
When used as a whirlpool addition or dry hop addition, TALUS™ delivers intense flavours of citrus, flowers, and earthy wood. In particular, the flavour has been described by brewers as grapefruit, floral, stone fruit, potpourri, woody, coconut, and pine.
Talus Hops (HBC 692) delivers a resinous and grapefruit pith character to beer.
In addition, Talus hops offer a unique and bold flavor profile with its mix of flavours and aromas. The oil mix provide a balanced bitterness, making them versatile for various beer styles.

ORIGIN
TALUS™ is an experimental hops product developed by the Hop Breeding Company.
HBC 692 stemmed from a hybrid pollination of the cultivar Sabro-HBC 438 and open pollination.
