STYLE: NZ PILSNER
Our first release of Blossom came about in Spring 2021, back when we were serving up cold pints to the doors of the parched. We’ve gone on to brew it twice more and the plan was to transition it to a seasonal beer. However, we have made an exception this one time, as we know a lot of customers have been asking for it for a good while! Blossom is slightly different to a usual Pilsner as it’s dry hopped with the distinctive Nelson Sauvin and Motueka hops. Lager yeast typically gives the beer very low levels of esters from the low fermentation temps. However, everyone can usually tell they are drinking a lager from that crisp, clean finish and hint of sulphur. This Pilsner doesn’t display that Lager-esque profile as the dry hop completely covers it all up. Instead you have a Pilsner with an easy going bitterness, white grape and lime notes and a very clean finish.
