DRY HOPPING PELLET
Complex and noble flavours with both hops and oak for innovative beers.
ProvOak is a homogenous mixture of hop and wood powder pelletized as a standard pellet type 90.
This dual purpose product is specifically designed for Whirlpool (late hopping) and dry hopping applications to provide hop aroma and wood flavour and body at the same time.
This US version has intense, sweet hop aroma – paired with the typical heavy notes of toasted oak casks, Red Berries, Vanilla, Bourbon, Dried Fruit, Oranges, Wild Berries.

APPLICATION:
similar handling compared to dry-hopping with hop pellets without the disadvantages of barrel ageing (oxidation, labor-intensive, costs)
DOSAGE:
provoak is dosed according to the hop oil concentration comparable to dry-hopping (3-6 mL Oil/hL)
CONTACT TIME:
approx. 1 week if dosed during lagering

A superb product which produces flavours as described, even though I sampled the beer after only about two weeks in the barrel. I used 100g as additional dry-hopping of Dennis King’s Vic Secret Delight, which is best after about 6 weeks.
Also, I think the oak powder in the pellets acts like finings.
