About the Author

John J. Palmer was born and raised in Midland, Michigan, and graduated from Michigan Tech University. He graduated with a degree in Metallurgical Engineering in 1987. He worked in the aerospace and medical devices industries for over 20 years, including the International Space Station, before pursuing his passion of beer and brewing full time. Author of the bestseller How to Brew: Everything You Need to Know to Brew Great Beer Every Time (2017), co-author of both Brewing Classic Styles (2007), and Water: A Comprehensive Guide for Brewers (2013) from Brewers Publications.
