Description
The simplest way to take gravity reads during the brewing process before fermentation start. Reads in both Brix 0-50% and SG 1.000 – 1.130 allowing it to be used for any beer style.
Use the included pipette to draw a sample of just 0.2 – 0.3ml and add to the sample plate then simply hit the read button. Within a few seconds the reading will be given in your chosen scale. The wide temperature range of the sample is 0 -40c meaning it can be used at any stage of the brewing process pre fermentation.
Do remember that the use of a refractometer is effected by alcohol within the sample. This is why they are recommended for pre fermentation use. There are calculators allowing refractometers to be used once fermentation has started. Hydrometers are a good tool to use for measuring final gravity
