A very old style of beer which is of German origin. Clean and full of character from the malt bill used, dark and bready with slight hoppy spice and floral touches. Slight sweetness is brought from the Caramunich but with a firm bitterness to finish the beer on the palette leaving you wanting to come back for more and more.

Comments:
This beer wants to be fermented cool to allow for little to no yeast character being imparted on the beer but do ensure it ferments fully, you can support this by either adding a second packet of yeast or creating a yeast starter.

Tastes just like I remember on my last visit to Dusseldorf. A very nice beer

Love this. Made it with local Norfolk water, just treated for Chlorine. Gave it the time it needed in cold crash and it has come out superb. Will be brewing again.
