Description

Radar based level sensor for FCS

The Brewtools Radar Level Sensor (TC 1.5″) brings commercial-grade liquid level measurement to the modern home and pilot brewery. Using radar technology rather than floats or pressure, this sensor provides continuous, non-contact level readings inside your vessel, making it ideal for sealed fermenters, unitanks, and brite tanks.

Designed to integrate cleanly into the Brewtools FCS, this sensor installs via a 1.5″ Tri-Clamp port so can be used on any tank. It measures liquid level from the top of the tank without any moving parts or wetted components.

Manufactured by Brewtools, it reflects the same precision engineering and build quality found across their fermentation and brewhouse range.

Product #: 7713937

  • High accuracy when measuring clear liquid volumes

  • Food-safe, brewery-grade construction

  • Designed for use with fermenters, unitanks, and brite tanks

Specifications:

Measuring distance: 0-3m (Preliminary)
Flange: TC 1.5″. Ø19mm minimum
Connector: LP12 5-pin (CAN bus + 24V)

Important Notes & Limitations (Please Read)

Radar level measurement relies on a clear, reflective liquid surface. As such, the following must be taken into account:

  • During active fermentation, krausen/foam will give incorrect readings.

  • Heavy foam or turbulent surfaces will distort radar measurements.

  • Internal hardware such as cooling coils, spirals, spray balls, or internal fittings may interfere with readingsdepending on their position.

The sensor is configured by setting the colume, tank diameter and distance to the cone. It’s easliy done by filling water in the tank to the top of the cone.

The sensor must be installed on a vertical flange on the top of the tank, ideally on a single port welded on the curved top surface. Avoid using tees/pipes between the sensor and the tank.
