  1. Nigel Macey (verified owner)

A superb mild kit, deceptively strong but full of flavour.
A must have all grain recipe kit.

  2. Gareth Adams (verified owner)

Really frustrated. Fermentation stopped in my GF fermenter at 1.040 and couldn’t get it going again. Not sure that there was enough yeast with this recipe.

  3. Lee Norris (verified owner)

Excellent. Needs about 2 months conditioning but it’s a great beer

This is an excellent beer. I didn’t trust my G30 to handle the grain bill so did the mash in two stages and glad I did as the sparge was very slow and the weight of the full grain bill water laden would have been too much for the G30. When doing this again I will buy some rice hulls to go with the kit. The beer was left in the fermenter for 5 weeks, an extended holiday abroad due to covid delayed everything, and the end result was an 8% ABV Dark Mild. Superb taste, a pleasant sweetness, full of flavours like chocolate and raisins, and great mouth feel. It is very very deceptive and hides its strength well. This is on my list for when it comes back in stock.
