1 review for Fresh Wort – Base 4 – Hazy

  1. Mitchell Ling (verified owner)

TBH I bought this by mistake as I had intended to brew a NEIPA not realising the Ibu’s were 60.
So was forced to brew a West Coast hazy IPA ( if there is such a thing ) diluted to 23L with Tesco Ashbeck and fermented with Mango madness yeast (which was finished within 5 days) then dry hopped with 75g each of Citra and Mosaic plus 35g of Bru-1. The resulting beer has turned out surprisingly well, which although a little bit on the bitter side at 55 ibu’s appears to be a very well balanced beer. Much better than extract kits but not as satisfying as brewing from scratch. I felt as though I have cheated with this brew but as time was against me and I needed to fill a keg quickly it was the perfect solution.
