Description
Whole Juniper berries. Used in a Finnish beer called Sahti with barley and rye malt. Can also be used in many beers styles including Christmas ales.Used to good effect lightly crushed and added to flavour casseroles, marinades, stuffings and complement pork, rabbit, venison, beef and duck. They can also be used in sweet dishes such as fruitcake. Juniper berries also provide the main flavouring for gin.This is a wonderful recipe from the BBC website
