Lid for Dough Proving box
Width 600mm
Depth 400mm
Using a pizza dough proving box is simple and effective:
-
Prepare Your Dough: Mix your pizza dough as usual, allowing it to rest and rise for the first time before transferring it to the proving box.
-
Preheat (Optional): If your proving box has a temperature control option, preheat it to around 75-80°F (24-27°C) for the optimal rise. If not, ensure the environment is warm and draft-free.
-
Place the Dough in the Box: Divide your dough into individual portions (depending on how many pizzas you want to make) and place them in the proving box. Make sure they are spaced out to allow for expansion.
-
Cover the Dough: Close the proving box lid to create a controlled environment. This will maintain the right level of humidity and temperature for proper dough fermentation.
-
Wait for the Dough to Rise: Leave the dough to rise in the box for the recommended time (usually 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size). The box helps prevent drying out and encourages even fermentation.
-
Check the Dough: Once the dough has doubled in size and is light and airy, it’s ready to be shaped and used for your pizzas.
-
Use Immediately or Store: If you don’t plan to use the dough immediately, you can store it in the proving box in the fridge for slow fermentation (overnight or up to 24 hours). When ready to use, let the dough come back to room temperature before shaping.
The proving box makes the dough preparation process easier and more consistent, ensuring you get perfect pizza dough every time.
