It will not become brittle and stiff with continued use of cleaning chemicals (even below -70, right up to 170 degrees centigrade).
Tube is translucent and is designed for use in shorter runs or where insulation is not required
Push fits onto our 1/2″ hose barb easily and stays put without the need for a jubilee clip.Manufactured in the UK.
Sold per meter, if you order 2 or more meters it will be sold as a complete run up to the length of 20 meters.
Please note: As this tubing is quite thin walled it is most suitable for short runs, it will kink under its own weight on longer runs that are not supported. For heavier duty tubing that is thinker walled please use THIS ONE
Stainless Joiners and T’s available.

Good quality silicone, but the walls are so thin that suction from pumps closes the pipe if you aren’t careful and route the pipe with large radii for all the bends. It will easily kink under its own weight if horizontal.

Thanks David, we do sell the thick walled version to overcome these exact issues, see here https://www.themaltmiller.co.uk/product/silicone-tubing-12mm-id/

Bought this to be used as siphon tubing but the exact same problem as the previous reviewer reared its ugly head. It’s so thin that it just collapses under its own weight when faced with any kind of bend. Very frustrating when trying to rack off wine. It’s so thin I’d be interested in hearing what the MM team think it might be good for as I’m stumped, and it’s in the bin.

Hey Kevin, This thin walled tubing is excellent when used to transfer hot or cold liquid between vessels, especially if using gravity. It would be completely useless for siphon tubing where you need thick walled material or something like PVC in some circumstances. Reading the product description it does say “Please note: As this tubing is quite thin walled it is most suitable for short runs, it will kink under its own weight on longer runs that are not supported. For heavier duty tubing that is thinker walled please use THIS ONE”

Ideal for use as a sparge tube in the GF30 as the thinner walls allow for ease of routing around the grain basket.
