Description
Draught Bass is one of those beers that will forever live in memory as a great drink of its time, it used to be the best selling cask beer and one that I used to drink all the time.
There are many forms that it has had, and lots of information about it online when you start to research for a recipe. There are also so many variations it hard to decide what to include in terms of hops, yeast, malt sugars.
Well we’ve come up with what we believe is a decent representation to the beer as we remember is when enjoying it in the local, and one that works really well on a beer engine.
Yeast is optional on this kit, our recommendation is to use the White Labs liquid yeast WLP023 Burton Ale Yeast for the most true to original taste, however understand that some might wish to use dry yeast so would in this case suggest WHC Bond.

Voted all grain kit of the year for 2021 by Dog & Partridge

I used to buy hops and grain in bulk but ended up wasting so much that the savings were outweighed by the wastage. This is my first AG kit. It is still fermenting. WLP 023 is a beast! climbing up the FV on day three at 16-20 degrees. As I dont brew as regularly as I used to I will be buying more AG kits as and when I have the time / urge
