Have just tried the first bottle of my first batch of this Porter. It pours like liquid silk and tastes outstanding! Great kit, highly recommended.

Lovely think and creamy with hints of roasted coffee and malts. Served on 30:70 nitro and a nitro tap. Like Guinness at home! Helps that our water is hard so good for this kind of beer.

  3. Nuno Correia (verified owner)

Amazing beer. Made a split batch and on 10L added a vanilla pod soaked in bourbon and my god… that turn out to be something special!
    Highly recommended!

Really enjoyed this Porter. Tasted amazing after 2 weeks bottle conditioning, can only see it improving

I wholeheartedly agree with the others here. I didn’t think i even liked dark beers but I couldn’t get enough of this stuff. so good!

Really lovely beer. Cleared within a day. Tasted after two days lovely chocolate notes. Great head retention. Can’t wait for the second taste in a few weeks just ready for Xmas. Definitely will buy again

Just made this again. It’s really wonderful. Fermentation at 22 degrees. Finished in 8 days. Drunk on day 10. Perfect. Really chocolate notes come through when served at lower temp. The beer was clear straight away.
That’s from keg using beergas. Bottled some which will take a couple of weeks. Everyone needs to make this one

I have made this twice now and the results were similar to Guinness West Indian Porter. The first time was a little too bitter but didn’t make it undrinkable. The second time I left out the 50g of hops for the dry hop and it was much more palatable. I wouldn’t call it a porter though, the flavour has much roast than you would normally expect for one, I would call it a stout. A nice recipe all the same and I’m likely to brew it again.
