The Pilot from Siren Craft Brew is a refreshing 5% Hazy Pale Ale designed for easy drinking without sacrificing flavour. Originally released as the first beer of 2026 and quickly brought back due to demand, it showcases Siren’s ability to deliver bright, juicy hop character in a lighter, more sessionable format.

Loaded with Citra and Krush hops, The Pilot offers vibrant fruit flavour with a soft haze and smooth body. Light, approachable and packed with flavour, it’s a perfect introduction to Siren’s modern hazy beer style.

Flavour Profile

Taste: Sweet citrus, soft tropical fruit and gentle stone fruit notes.
Mouthfeel: Light to medium-bodied, smooth and softly hazy.
Finish: Clean, juicy and refreshing with low bitterness.

Aroma

Bright aromas of citrus, tropical fruit and soft sweetness lift from the glass, driven by the expressive hop pairing.

Brewing Process & Uniqueness

The Pilot is brewed with a focus on sessionability and balance, combining a light, haze-friendly malt base with modern hop character. Citra delivers classic citrus brightness, while Krush adds sweet, tropical depth.

This batch is also gluten free (under 20ppm), achieved using treated malts while maintaining full flavour and body. The beer remains vegan friendly, making it accessible without compromising on taste or quality.

The result is a hazy pale ale that is light, flavourful and highly drinkable—ideal for repeat pours.

Serving & Food Pairing

Serve at: 6–8°C in a tulip or nonic pint.

In addition, we have a prolific brewing schedule, with over 100 releases planned in 2019 alone. We are lucky enough to have been named the ‘Best Brewer in England’ by Ratebeer users in 2015, and added to that with a Supreme Champion Beer of Britain award by CAMRA this year in 2018.
