Description
The Malt Miller Hop Spider Basket is constructed from 304 grade stainless steel, and suspends itself in the brewing vessel by means of 3 x 9cm steel rods.
This is a great item for keeping hops separate from your wort during brewing, the 300 micron mesh helps to keep hop material contained whilst allowing wort to enter and absorb oils.
Perfect for malt when doing partial/mini mash or small batches in smaller vessels such as our 12Ltr kettle in place of a bag.
Material: 304 stainless steel
Mesh size: 300 microns (0.3mm)
Height: 30 cm
Diameter: 20 cm
Length steel rods: 9 cm (M8 screws)
Can be used with all in brewing systems and kettles up to 38cm in diameter.

It’s been great to finally find something that works as a grain basket for smaller kettles! I haven’t used this as a hop basket yet, but it has been very useful as a grain basket. I am using this along with the 12 litre malt miller kettle. When I tried using grain bags instead, they were too large, and led to lots of messy spills whenever handling the bag. This is a much neater solution, as well as being easier to clean.
