Achieve crystal-clear wine, cider, kombucha, and other sugar-based ferments with this professional-grade two-part fining set. Use for up to 25 litres.
This kit contains:

65g Kieselsol – negatively charged silica-based fining that binds to proteins and haze-forming particles.

50g Chitosan – positively charged fining that reacts with the Kieselsol-bound particles, creating heavier clumps that rapidly settle to the bottom.
When used together, these finings provide fast, reliable clarification without impacting the flavour or aroma of your ferment.
Typical Usage

Rack your wine or ferment off heavy sediment.

Add the Kieselsol first and stir gently but thoroughly.

Wait 1–12 hours (check your recipe or instructions for best timing).

Add the Chitosan, stir gently, and leave to settle undisturbed for 24–72 hours.

Rack again to leave behind clear, bright liquid.
Note: Chitosan is derived from shellfish, so not suitable for vegan or vegetarian use.
