Description
Cashmere was developed and released through the Washington State University USDA hop breeding program in 2013 and is a daughter of a Cascade male and a female line that includes Northern Brewer.
Cashmere hops are prized for enticing aroma and flavor profile, which can be described as a delightful blend of fruity, citrusy, and herbal notes. The aroma is dominated by sweet tropical fruit scents, including ripe melon, peach, and tangerine.
With an alpha acid content ranging from 7% to 9.5%, Cashmere hops provide a moderate level of bitterness. Making it suitable for various kinds of beers whether crafting an IPA, Pale Ale, or even a Lager, offering a harmonious balance between bitterness and aroma.
Cashmere hops exhibit versatility both in traditional brewing and in emerging styles and experimentation with new flavour combinations. Their complexity makes them an attractive hop for single-hopped beers, showcasing their remarkable attributes.
As brewers continue to explore and embrace Cashmere hops, their popularity is likely to grow further. Consequently adding to the diversity of hop choices available to brewers .
Whether you’re an adventurous homebrewer or a professional craft brewer seeking novel flavour experiences, Cashmere hops present an exciting opportunity to elevate your beer creations to new heights. Embrace the allure of Cashmere hops and embark on a flavour journey that will intrigue and satisfy beer enthusiasts worldwide.
