Harbour Lights – Pale Ale – 5l All Grain Home Brew Kit
This 5 litre recipe kit features everything you need to home brew a homage to St Austell Tribute, taking inspiration from our visit to St Austell in 2023 where we were given the full recipe for Tribute. This recipe has been simplified to work perfectly as part of our Kitchen Brewer series or otherwise known as stove top brewing.
Expect a beer which is crisp, easy drinking but also layered with zesty, orange notes as well as a balanced malt back bone due too the use of Cornish Gold malt for Simpsons, which is used by St Austell in Tribute. This 5L recipe kit is inspired by our best selling St Austell Tribute – 23l All Grain Recipe Kit which has a been super popular since we launched it in 2023, after visiting and filming with the team at St Austell for our YouTube Channel.

About the Kitchen Brewer Range

All these beer kits have been prepared and developed to work with the common method for stove top brewing, brew in the bag. The grain is crushed slightly finer to allow for maximum efficiency when mashing.

Simpsons Malt – Finest Pale Maris Otter
Willamette – BarthHaas® Pure Hop Pellet (10 grams)
Celeia – BarthHaas® Pure Hop Pellet (10 grams)
Fuggles T90 Pellets (10 grams)
WHC Dried Yeast – Old English – 11g Packet (1 pack)
Method
Beer Style (main): British Ales

Original Gravity: 1.042
Final Gravity: 1.010
ABV %: 4.2
IBU: 22
Mash efficiency: 70
THE MASH
Temperature °C (Step 1): 66
Length (mins) (Step 1): 60
Temperature °C (Step 2):
THE BOIL
Boil time (mins): 30
Hop / kettle additions and timing:Add 10g Fuggle @ 30mins
Whirlpool / hop stand:
Cool your wort to 80c and then add:
10 g Celeia
10 g Willamette
Stir well and then try to hold at 80°C for 20 minutes before cooling further and transferring to you fermenter.
Yeast: WHC Old English
Fermentation temperature/steps: 18c – 7-10 days, until fermentation has completed
Secondary additions:Once fermentation has completed, try to raise temperature slightly for 48 hours before packaging and carbonating your finished batch.
