Mangrove Jack’s Recipe Range gives you a flexible new way to brew at home. Start with one of six numbered malt extract cans, then combine it with a Mangrove Jack’s Hop Blend, Brew Enhancer and Craft Series Yeast to create one of more than 40 different recipes. The formula stays the same — Can + Hop Blend + Enhancer + Craft Series Yeast = Recipe — but the beer you make is entirely up to you.

Mangrove Jack’s E4 Light-Hopped Enhancer is a blend of dextrose and spray-dried hopped malt extract, designed to balance bitterness with malt body for a natural-tasting, well-rounded finished beer.

Use it in place of dextrose alongside your chosen beer kit. The hopped malt extract helps reinforce bitterness and flavour while adding more body and malt character than dextrose alone, making it particularly useful in hop-forward and fuller-flavoured beer styles.

What Does E2 Medium Enhancer Add?

E2 Medium Enhancer contributes:

• Fuller malt character

• More presence than a light enhancer

The 50/50 blend of barley malt extract and dextrose provides a balance of fermentability and malt character, helping build a richer beer without making it excessively sweet or heavy.

How to Use

Add the full 1kg pack to the fermenter with your chosen Mangrove Jack’s Recipe Range malt extract can.

Use it in place of the 1kg of dextrose normally required to complete the beer kit. Dissolve thoroughly according to the kit instructions, then top up with water to the volume stated in your chosen recipe.

For the intended balance of strength, body and flavour, follow the exact enhancer and final brew volume specified in the relevant Recipe Range recipe.

Mangrove Jack’s recommends using E2 Medium Enhancer in the following combination:

• Can: 1 Lager
• Hop Blend: ½ x H9 Herbal Hop Sachet
• Enhancer: E2 Medium Enhancer
• Yeast: M54 California Lager Yeast
• Makes: 20 litres
• Approximate ABV: 4.5%

E2 Medium Enhancer adds malt depth and a fuller mouthfeel to the clean base of 1 Lager. H9 Herbal contributes fresh, traditional hop character, while M54 California Lager Yeast provides a clean fermentation profile suited to a smooth, balanced Vienna Lager.
