The Spundy Compact Spunding Valve from Keg King is a must-have tool for any dedicated home brewer. Precisely designed in Australia, this valve is the perfect combination of performance and flexibility, all neatly packed into a compact unit that is ready to use straight out of the box. Whether you’re managing pressure during fermentation or ensuring perfect carbonation, the Spundy valve helps you achieve superior brewing results.
Compact and Efficient Design
Standing at just 4.5cm tall, the Spundy spunding valve is ideal for brewers who need to fit their pressure equipment in height-limited spaces such as fermentation chambers, fridges, or cupboards. When attached, it only adds a mere 2.5cm to the height of the vessel, making it incredibly space-efficient.
Easy Attachment and Operation
One of the standout features of the Spundy spunding valve is its compatibility with Cornelius-style gas posts or carbonation caps, similar to a grey/gas disconnect. This means there’s no need to purchase additional disconnects just to integrate this valve into your brewing setup. Controlling the pressure is straightforward—simply turn the black valve tip clockwise to increase pressure or counter-clockwise to release it.
Precise Pressure Management
Equipped with a built-in pressure gauge, the Spundy spunding valve allows you to see exactly what pressure is maintained, from 0 to 30 psi (2 bar). This ensures you have precise control over your brewing process, leading to consistent and high-quality results every time.
Ideal for Various Brewing Applications
Spundy spunding valve brewing opens up a world of possibilities for home brewers. Use it to regulate pressure during fermentation, ensuring optimal yeast performance and reducing unwanted esters and diacetyls. It’s also perfect for pressure transfers, allowing you to smooth transitions between kegs without losing carbonation or creating a mess. Additionally, it helps in fixing over-carbonated beers, leak testing kegs, and achieving natural carbonation in kegs.
Durable Materials and Specifications
Crafted from a combination of plastic and stainless steel, the Spundy valve is built to withstand the rigors of regular use in any brewing environment. Here are its key specifications:
- Materials: Plastic and Stainless Steel
- Height: 4.5cm

I bought two, and I enjoy them.
Just a few issues but nothing crazy. First – The acrylic cover keeps coming off. Second – It doesn’t fit on the Kegmenter. That’s all. I might change the Kegmenter ball lock.
The gauge is very accurate, nice and compact, easy to clean and maintain, practical and straightforward.

Really nice idea. Lovely and compact but couldn’t get to stay on disconnect.
Turns out supplied with only two bearings to keep in place. Was able to fix by removing two additional bearings from an old ball lock connector but seems a bit of a design oversight!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention Cole. This is defective product, it should use 4 x ball bearings. Will be in contact to sort issue.
