A Classic British Golden Ale for Home Brewing
Long Evening is a classic British Golden Ale recipe designed for home brewing, combining traditional malt character with bright, refreshing hop flavour. Built on a foundation of Simpsons Maris Otter, supported by wheat malt and a touch of Cara Gold, this home brew delivers gentle biscuit notes, subtle sweetness and a clean, highly drinkable finish.
Challenger provides firm, balanced bitterness, while First Gold contributes distinctive notes of orange marmalade, citrus and gentle spice. Fermented with WHC Bond yeast, the result is a refreshing golden ale with crisp bitterness, delicate malt character and excellent pintability at just over 4% ABV.
