You brew a resinous, piney, sticky West Coast IPA in the truest sense with a classic malt bill that delivers warm caramel notes to back it all up of course. If you’re a fan of our Two Hearted recipe then this could just about be your new favourite beer, it certainly is for us.

Crisp Extra Pale Maris Otter
Crisp Maris Otter
Crisp CaraGold Malt
Citra Pellets (100 grams)
Strata T90 Hop Pellet (100 grams)
Centennial Pellets (20 grams)

Additions and timing:

45 mins – 20g Citra, 10g Centennial
30 mins – 20g Citra, 15g Strata, 10g Centennial
10 mins – 1tsp irish moss or other finings (not included)

Secondary additions and timing:

Once fermentation is complete, reduce temp to 14c and add dry hop. Contact time should be no more than 72hrs.

Comments:

With this Recipe kit you get a liquid yeast, nitrogen flushed hops, and all your grain weighed out, to brew 19L of the most drinkable West Coast IPA, just watch out though as it still comes in at 7% and will catch you out.

Although this recipe comes out as a great balanced hoppy beer some have asked about adding more hops, if this is something you are thinking about our recommendation would be simply another 100g of Strata on the dry hop (not included).
